Butwal Power Company Limited has recently issued 3:2 right shares at par value (NRs. 100 per share)
*Most of the Butwal Power Company Limited’s Investment are in new hydropower
companies which are yet to come into commercial operation. One of the project
is much hyped Kabeli ‘A’ Hydro Electric Project 37.5 MW where Butwal Power
Company Limited has sold 74 percent stake to InfraCo Limited of Singapore and
IFC is giving $40 soft loan for the construction of the project at 4 percent.
Butwal Power Company Limited is negotiating with NEA to renew the PPA for its
expired project.
