Belgian Investment Company (BIO) in Nepal.

Finally, Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries (BIO) has entered into Nepalese hydropower.

It is going to invest US $ 20 million in the 82 MW lower Solu hydropower (one of the super six projects) developed by Essel Clean Solu Hydropower Private Limited.  It is participating in a loan arranged by the Dutch development bank, FMO, under the risk sharing agreement between the two development finance institutions.

BIO invests directly in private sector projects and as such makes a structural contribution to the socio-economic growth of those host countries.

The entry of BIO invest is certainly welcoming as it paves the way for others to follow. For detail article, please click the link. BIO in Nepal
